PROTECTING BENDIGO IN DISASTERS: $2,243,800 FOR RESILIENCE AND PREPAREDNESS

The Greater Bendigo region will receive 387 million for 164 projects in Round Two of the Albanese Government's Disaster Ready Fund (DRF).

These projects will significantly reduce disaster risk and build long-term resilience in the face of increasing disasters, and are jointly funded with state, territory or local governments.

Successful projects include the development of flood mitigation plans for significant Bendigo waterways, and a flood study project to assess, model and map areas at risk of flooding in Goornong.
