Ms Chesters said work on the development project was delivered with support of Federal Government funding of $1 million through the Capital Grants Program.
“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered a combination of new construction and renovation to an existing building to create new classrooms, a reception area, administration offices, staff facilities and officers, staff meeting rooms and storage,” Ms Chesters said.
“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers, and students at Holy Rosary School with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.
“The Federal Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Holy Rosary School, Heathcote, get the best possible education.”
Ms Chesters said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at Holy Rosary School, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at Holy Rosary School have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Chesters said.
“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
