Local audiences in Bendigo will have the opportunity to experience more exciting and original live Australian music, thanks to funding from the Albanese Government.

Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters today announced that Chateau Dore will receive $15,156 to support them to host quality gigs by Australian musical talent through the Live Music Australia program.

The Live Music Australia program is designed to bring more live music to Australian communities and funds applications that support quality original Australian live music that is professionally staged.

The funding will go towards supporting Summer Sessions at the Chateau, a new series of live music events at Chateau Dore which will boost the venue’s capacity to showcase original music from local and touring artists.

The Albanese Labor Government believes music should be live and local and the Live Music Australia grants will help create more opportunities for local artists to perform.
