The grant is one of over thirty-one awarded nationally by the Australian Government to support innovative and inclusive community-led science initiatives during National Science Week.
Funded through the National Science Week Grants Program, Jurassic Wonders will transport visitors back to the age of the dinosaurs with interactive exhibits, hands-on fossil activities, and immersive educational experiences designed to spark curiosity in science, palaeontology, and natural history.
The program features life-size dinosaur models, and STEM-based activities aimed at curious kids aged 3-11 and their families.
The grant enabled Discovery to provide Auslan interpreters for special sessions of the program, increasing program accessibility to deaf or hard of hearing children.
The event is expected to draw hundreds of visitors from across the region and further strengthen the Discovery Centre’s reputation as a leader in regional science education.
