Ms Chesters has been the Federal Member for Bendigo since 2013 and whilst being a bit older and more experienced, she says she still has the same energy and drive to be the strong voice the Bendigo electorate needs.
Since coming into Government in 2022, the Federal Labor Government has invested nearly $300 million in the Bendigo electorate.
In that time, the Federal Labor Government has delivered record investments into Medicare, doubled funding to fix our roads, increased the minimum wage and delivered pay increases to important but undervalued sectors.
Labor has also delivered targeted cost of living relief by providing energy bill rebates to every household, tax cuts to every taxpayer and cheaper medicines for all.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese can call an election to be held at any time between this date and 25 September 2025.
