Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters today announced 18 recipients of the 2022-2023 Volunteer Grants at a morning tea recognising their achievement.

The grants ranging between $1,000 and $5,000 will enable organisations in the Bendigo electorate to better support their volunteers and to purchase small equipment, pay for fuel, transport, and training.

A total of 18 groups will share in the $66,225 in funding available to each Federal electorate.

In order to be successful in the competitive process, groups were required to be a not-for-profit organisation that has a minimum of 40% of volunteers in their organisation.

Grant recipients this round vary from community and neighbourhood houses to men’s sheds and a Kyneton basketball club.
